Created for the solo show “ From the Ruins“ at Galleri Revolt, Borås, 2026.

Ruins can be the remnants of a civilisation’s architecture or the aftermath of a society’s collapse. Once-intact structures and ideals that have fallen into a state of decline. They may result from deliberate destruction and conflict, neglect and forgetfulness, uncontrollable forces of nature, or simply the abandonment of places and values.

Based on an abstract architectural language these columns symbolise the ruin. Not as a relic of the past, but as part of an ongoing process, a movement forward. A celebration of imperfection and a gesture of hope.

The bronze sculptures convey something reborn: enduring, luminous and resilient, while other materials have been chipped, scraped and allowed, in part, to weather and erode.
